WellSky Point of Care App — Early Release & Training

The new WellSky Point of Care app is now available for Loving Care Home Health clinicians to begin using as part of its early release.

Our rollout timeline shifted by a few days from the original schedule, so we have adjusted our training plan accordingly. Clinicians do not need to wait for their office’s scheduled training session to begin using Point of Care and may get started after completing the required WellSky training video.

Before You Begin

Before using Point of Care for live patient visits, please complete the WellSky Point of Care Training Video linked below. You must be signed into WellSky to view.

WellSky Point of Care Training Video

Once you have completed the WellSky training video and are comfortable with the basic workflow, you may begin using the Point of Care app for your patient visits.

The scheduled Loving Care training sessions will provide additional hands-on instruction, demonstrate our recommended workflow, answer questions, and cover features that may be especially useful in day-to-day clinical practice.

About Point of Care

The Point of Care app brings more of the clinician’s daily workflow into one mobile experience. Instead of moving between separate tools, clinicians can access their daily schedule, patient information, EVV, visit documentation, WellSky Scribe, wound care, medication tools, progress toward goals, and other visit functions directly from the Point of Care app.

Loving Care Training

Training will be provided through scheduled office Case Conferences and web conference sessions.

Clinicians are encouraged to attend their office’s scheduled session even if they have already begun using Point of Care. Each session will provide a walkthrough of the application, practical workflow guidance, and an opportunity to ask questions based on your experience using the app.

Clinicians who are unable to attend their office’s session may join another available web conference or the scheduled make-up session.

Training will cover:

  • Signing in and preparing the app for the day
  • Tasks, schedule, patients, and route planning
  • Starting and completing a patient visit
  • EVV Check In / Check Out
  • Using the AI Pre-Visit Summary
  • WellSky Scribe and ambient documentation
  • Reviewing AI-generated documentation before submission
  • Progress to Goals and wound documentation
  • Medication Extract / SkySense AI
  • Capturing documents and photos
  • Completing and submitting the visit to the EHR
  • Working offline and confirming synchronization

All AI-generated documentation remains a draft and must be reviewed for clinical accuracy before it is submitted to the EHR.

The app also supports core visit functions while offline, including accessing the day’s schedule and patient records, documenting the visit, capturing voice, photos, and signatures, and recording EVV timestamps. AI processing and some real-time functions will resume once connectivity is restored.

What to Bring to Training

Clinicians attending a Loving Care training session should bring their iPad and phone so we can walk through the application and workflow together.

Can I Start Using Point of Care Now?

Yes.

Clinicians may begin using the Point of Care app for live patient visits after completing the WellSky Point of Care Training Video.

You do not need to wait until your office’s scheduled Loving Care training session. The upcoming sessions are intended to reinforce the WellSky training, demonstrate workflows in greater detail, answer questions, and help everyone become comfortable using the new application.

The WellSky Point of Care Clinician User Guide is also available as a reference and covers the full mobile workflow from sign-in through visit submission.

If you experience an issue or have questions while beginning to use Point of Care, please submit a request through the normal IT support process so we can assist you and track any recurring issues.
